Community Meeting for the Proposed Navy Base Intermodal Facility

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers will be holding a community meeting on at 6:00PM on Tuesday, May 6, 2014 to provide information and to allow for open and informal discussion about the studies that will be prepared and the alternatives that will be evaluated in the EIS for the proposed Navy Base Intermodal Facility project.  The meeting will be held at the Military Magnet Academy (2950 Carner Avenue, North Charleston, SC 29405).

April Civic Club Meeting

We have the honor of having Cindy Bohn Coats, the Board of Trustees Chair of the Charleston County School District, speak this coming Monday, April 14, 2014 at 7:00PM at the Cameron Terrace/Oak Park Civic Club meeting.  Come and listen to the news about the schools in our neighborhood and also bring any questions you might have for Mrs. Coats.  Join us and help make our neighborhood even better!

Citizens Public Safety Academy

The City of North Charleston Police Fire, Code Enforcement, and Building Departments have launched the Citizens Public Safety Academy program as way to give the citizens of North Charleston an inside look at these departments and what they do.  Each session of program lasts 11 weeks and is free.  For more information, browse to the North Charleston blog.

Charleston Marathon

The Charleston Marathon will be held this weekend, January 17-19.  Some of the courses will run through our neighborhood and will result in some road closures.  Please check the Charleston Marathon website for the course maps before travelling this weekend.
